Closing arguments are likely to begin today or tomorrow in the trial of a former Fairfax County cop charged with involuntary manslaughter. Prosecutors Monday rested their case against Wesley Shifflett, who's accused of gunning down 37-year-old Timothy Johnson as he tried to flee a foot pursuit last year following a shoplifting incident at Tysons Corner Center. Administrators say those particles were left behind when a contractor replacing windows failed to follow proper mitigation requirements. Health officials are encouraging Brooks' students and families to have their blood tested for lead.
