Former State Delegate Cheryl Turpin has announced she's running for Virginia Beach mayor. Turpin will join Councilmembers Sabrina Wooten, Chris Taylor, and former Councilmember John Moss in the contest. Current Mayor Bobby Dyer is also running for re-election. Turpin says she plans to focus on education. She previously served on the General Assembly from 2018 to 2020. The election will take place Tuesday, November 5th.
