Virginia lawmakers want to take a closer look at the protests that have taken place on college campuses around the Commonwealth. General Assembly leaders announced that they're are forming select committees to discuss ways to balance campus safety with students' First Amendment rights. More than 100 students were arrested during pro-Palestinian protests at four Virginia colleges in the last month. The select committees will examine the protests and the response of college officials and police before making any legislative recommendations.
The Virginia Beach Chorale will be heading to Carnigie Hall for a once in a lifetime performance. The group's Artistic Director and Conductor, Don Krudop, has been invited to host a guest residency. Thirty member of the Virginia Beach Chorale will accompany him. Twenty of Krudop's former students from Salem High And the Visual and Performing Arts Academy will also join. The performance is set for June 23rd.
