Virginia Senator Mark Warner is criticizing the failed rollout of a new college financial aid program. Warner met with students and school administrators in Arlington to discuss enrollment delays caused by recent changes to FAFSA. Colleges were forced to delay enrollment confirmations this year as students struggled with completing the FAFSA form. The Democrat said the rollout was a disaster and criticized the federal government for being unable to deliver new technology efficiently. He also said he was pressing for more flexibility from colleges and universities to help this year's graduates get to the schools they want to attend.

The Henrico County Fire Department is looking for recruits. The division opens up the recruitment process once a year. Last year's applicants brought in 64 recruits. The starting salary is 61-thousand dollars and includes benefits. Recruits are paid for training and go through a 30-week training period. You must be at least 18 years old to apply, pass a written test, a physical abilities test and a background check.
