A new statewide poll shows many Virginia voters are looking for an alternative to the two major party candidates for president. The poll from the Institute for Policy and Opinion Research at Roanoke College asked 711 likely voters who they plan to vote for in November. A head-to-head matchup between President Biden and former President Trump resulted in a tie, with each candidate getting 42-percent of the vote. If other candidates are included, Biden leads Trump 40-percent to 38-percent. Only two-percent of likely voters say they are undecided, while the rest say they will vote for other candidates this fall.
