Richmond hopes a change taking place today will lead to better customer service in the Department of Public Utilities. Starting today, the DPU Call Center will be open Monday through Friday from 8:00 to 4:00. Previously, the call center closed at noon on Wednesdays. The city says the later closing is for ongoing training to improve customer service delivery
Two men are dead after a weekend shooting in Vinton. Police officers were called to a parking lot at the Vinton Municipal Building just before 5:15 yesterday afternoon. Two men with gunshot wounds were pronounced dead at the scene. Police have not released information about their investigation but say a person of interest is in custody.
