Water service could be disrupted this morning at a Petersburg hospital. Bon Secours Southside Medical Center reported an interruption in service yesterday. There's no word on a cause, but the city was working on replacing a main water line yesterday. A hospital spokesperson told 8News they were working diligently to restore service and find other water sources.
Pharmaceutical giant Pfizer will pay almost 60-million dollars to settle charges for allegedly paying kickbacks to physicians who prescribed a specific migraine drug to patients. On Friday, the Justice Department announced the scheme involved improper gifts of expensive meals and speaker honoraria to encourage medical professionals to prescribe Biohaven's migraine medication Nurtec ODT. The lawsuit accused Pfizer-owned Biohaven of defrauding Medicare and other federal health care companies by violating the anti-kickback statute.
