Police are investigating after two people were found dead in the basement of a home in Manassas. Officers were asked to do a welfare check at a home on Hanson Grove Court early yesterday morning. They found a man and a woman dead from what appeared to be gunshot wounds. Police say a person of interest in the investigation has been arrested in New Jersey but no charges have been filed.
Minnesota Governor Tim Walz says he will own up when he misspeaks. Appearing on Fox News Sunday, the Democratic vice presidential nominee was asked about statements he's made in the past about his military service and trips to China. Walz did not admit he may have misspoke but instead said he thinks voters and his constituents in Minnesota know who he is. While responding to the question, Walz took focus off of himself and attacked JD Vance for not acknowledging if former President Trump lost the 2020 election during their debate. Walz said he thinks voters are far more concerned with that.
