A man is dead after he was shot by a police officer in Richmond. Kyle Harris died yesterday from injuries he suffered in Tuesday's night shooting in Church Hill. Police responded to a home on East Broad Street for a domestic call. The RPD says officers heard a woman screaming from inside the home, and when they entered, an officer wound up shooting Harris. No officers were hurt. The officer who shot Harris is on administrative leave. Police Chief Rick Edwards says an edged weapon was found inside the home.
A two-time Olympian is coming to the University of Virginia to be part of the women's swim team. Nevada's Katie Grimes was named to the 2020 U.S. Olympic team when she was just 15-years-old. She won a silver medal at the Paris Olympics in the 400-meter individual medley. Current and former members of the UVA women's team won 11 medals at the Paris Olympics.
