A woman is dead after being hit by a car in Prince William County early yesterday. Police say 57-year-old Maria Cardozo of Woodbridge was walking her dog on Mapledale Avenue in Dale City around 6:30 a.m. A Nissan Versa drove onto the sidewalk and hit Cardozo, who died from her injuries. The man driving the Versa stopped at the scene and investigators say drugs and alcohol were not factors in the crash.
Protesters are demanding Kellogg's remove "harmful additives" added to cereals like Froot Loops and Apple Jacks. Over one-thousand protesters gathered outside the company's Michigan headquarters Tuesday to make their demands known and to serve up a petition with over 400-thousand signatures. In 2015, the food giant promised to remove artificial ingredients and colors from their products by 2018. But organizers say they haven't done this in the U.S. Kellogg's excuse is that their products still abide by federal regulations.
