The Virginia State Police is reminding drivers that excess speed can put many other lives at risk. A Facebook post earlier this week showed a citation issued to a driver in central Virginia. A trooper clocked the driver going 128 miles an hour on a highway with a 70-mile-an-hour speed limit. The driver is facing a January court date in Louisa on a charge of reckless by speed. The post reminds drivers to think twice before exceeding the speed limit, noting that safety should always come first.
