A Virginia hunter has died after a bear fell on top of him in Lunenburg County. The Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources says 58-year-old Lester Harvey was hunting on December 9th when a bear ran up a tree. A member of his hunting group shot the bear, causing it to fall on top of him. He was taken to VCU Medical Center where he died last Friday. The DWR says it does not plan to press any charges against any of the hunters in the group.
