Richmond Police are investigating the death of a man on Brander Street. Officers were called yesterday afternoon for reports of someone injured. Detectives do not believe there was any foul play involved. Authorities haven't identified the victim at this time.
More than 50 nations have initiated trade talks with the US following President Donald Trump's implementation of new tariffs. Trump's economic advisers defended the tariffs as a strategic move to reposition the US in global trade. Some speculate the tariffs could spark a global trade war or recession. Although, they also seem to be working, with several countries like Taiwan and Israel willing to either drop their tariffs or negotiate those tariffs lower to avoid the duties.
TikTok is getting a 75-day extension to continue operating in the U.S. President Trump made the announcement on Truth Social after a deal to sell TikTok to a new company fell through. It reported over the weekend that ByteDance told the White House China would no longer approve the deal unless there were negotiations on tariffs.
