A 13-year-old girl has been hospitalized after she was hit by a vehicle in Loudoun County. The Virginia State Police say the girl was hit while trying to ride her scooter across an intersection in Sterling yesterday evening. She was transported to the hospital with what were described as life-threatening injuries. The driver stopped at the scene following the collision, and the state police are investigating the crash.
