A woman is hurt after a shooting in Richmond. It happened last night in the East End near Whitcomb Court. Police were called to Mechanicsville Turnpike where a woman was found shot in a car, but CBS 6 reports she was actually shot on Carmine Street. She was taken to the hospital and is reportedly in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.
John Deere joins other companies like Microsoft, Zoom, and Meta in dropping its DEI initiatives. The tractor company released a statement this week saying it would be changing or eliminating multiple diversity-equity-and-inclusion policies, and would be auditing all company-mandated training materials to "ensure the absence of socially motivated messages." The statement also said John Deere "will no longer participate in or support external social or cultural awareness parades, festivals, or events." It made clear the changes are being made in response to its customers' opinions.
