The man accused of shooting and killing a Smyth County deputy earlier this month has died in a Tennessee hospital. The Commonwealth's Attorney for Smyth County announced the death of 65-year-old Timothy Wayne Goodman on Friday. Goodman was hospitalized after Deputy Hunter Reedy was shot and killed during a traffic stop in Smyth County on August 9th. Reedy's funeral was held in Chilhowie on Saturday.
