The American Red Cross is assisting about 30 people after a Labor Day fire at an Alexandria apartment building. First responders were called to a blaze at the building on North Armistead Street yesterday afternoon. The fire caused some minor injuries and forced the evacuation of about a dozen units. The cause of the flames is under investigation.
