Those around VCU should be aware of a recent incident. Richmond Police say a man robbed someone last night on campus on West Broad Street. Police say the suspect tried to punch the victim, then shook him and stole items from his backpack. No arrest has been announced, but the RPD tells 8News it has increased patrols in the area.
Busch Gardens Williamsburg is hosting Virginia's largest craft beer and barbecue festival, the Bier Fest Brews & BBQ Fest. The event runs every Friday through Sunday, including Labor Day, beginning August 16th through September 2. The festival will feature over 75 craft beers from 52 breweries, including 30 Virginia favorites, and a new barbecue menu with 25 dishes. Parkgoers can purchase a 10-item sampler lanyard to enjoy their favorite brews and cocktails. Live music performances and newly reimagined rides will also be part of the festival experience.
