Some details are out on a concert venue coming to Richmond. It's due to open next June off South Second Street, and yesterday, the name was announced. It'll be known as the Allianz Amphitheater at Riverfront. It'll seat about 75-hundred people and will host 30 shows a season. A Live Nation official says tickets will be as low as 20 dollars to make it a very affordable option.

“Anything is possible” according to Patrick County’s first Black deputy who plans to enjoy retirement after 28 years of service. Winfred Hill became the first Black man hired by the Patrick County sheriff's office in 1996. Hill, a former football player who overcame a career-ending injury, found a new calling in law enforcement and became a respected figure in the community. Throughout his tenure, WDBJ reports Hill demonstrated compassion and skill, training others and making a positive impact on both citizens and fellow officers. As he embarks on retirement, Hill hopes to inspire the younger generation to pursue their dreams with determination and resilience.
