Time is running out to submit ideas on how Richmond should spend your tax dollars. The city is asking for input for its three million dollar People's Budget. Submissions are being accepted through Friday. In April, residents will be able to vote on all the proposals, and the city will allocate funding for the most popular ones. A city official tells 8News the goal of the people's budget is to stop doing things to and for the community but start doing things with the community.
Holiday Magic is coming to Richmond. The city announced yesterday it's holding Main Street Station's Holiday Magic event next month. The free, family-friendly event will take place Sunday, December 8th at East Main Street. There'll be music, crafts for sale, gift wrapping, warm seasonal beverages and story time with Santa.
