The city of Richmond is in favor of keeping bus rides free. The city council voted last night to support the zero fare program of the Greater Richmond Transit Authority, which first started during COVID-19 changes. In order for this to happen, advertisements will be placed at each GRTC bus stop and Pulse station. It's expected to bring in two-million-dollars in revenue annually.  
 
 
AT&T is getting out of the home phone business. The company is planning to end landline service in 20 states by 2029. AT&T says the copper wire service is both expensive and outdated. The company also says fewer and fewer people have landlines in their homes. AT&T will offer landline users a system that allows them to plug their home phone into a cellphone connection, and continue to use the phone they're familiar with.
