Rehab work to restore some Black history in central Virginia will be celebrated this weekend.Preview: The National Weather Service says an EF-1 tornado hit Salem on Sunday afternoon. A report from the weather service says the tornado touched down around 6:15 p.m., traveling two miles before lifting. Winds between 100 and 105 miles an hour created a 300-foot-wide path that damaged several homes and apartment buildings. No one was injured during the tornado's touchdown.
