A Virginia mother who says she fired a gun in self-defense has been indicted for murder. Thirty-five year-old LaToya Crabbe has been indicted by a Prince William County grand jury for second-degree murder of her husband, Curtis Crabbe. Crabbe was arrested in October for calling 9-1-1 and saying she had shot and killed her husband in self-defense. Crabbe's defense attorney says her husband had previously threatened her and her children. Crabbe's trial is scheduled to begin on March 3rd.
A dog has been rescued from an icy lake in Suffolk. The dog was found yesterday afternoon at Sleepy Hole Lake. Suffolk Fire & Rescue were able to grab the dog after breaking a thin layer of ice and carrying the dog out of the water. The rescue team was able to reunite the dog with its owner.
