A Virginia Tech football player is in trouble with the law. Jordan Bass was arrested over the weekend and has been charged with possession of marijuana and DWI, which are both misdemeanors. Bass committed to the team earlier this month. He previously played for the University of Pittsburgh. Bass was released on bond shortly after being arrested. His arraignment is scheduled for early February. The school has not commented on the arrest.
The former pitcher for the Ferrum College Baseball team has been elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame. Billy Wagner is set to be inducted in the hall in Cooperstown on July 27th. Wagner set an NCAA single season record for strike outs per 9 innings while at Ferrum. Wagner received 82-percent of the vote which is above the 75-percent required for induction.
