The deadline for Virginia voters to register for the upcoming election is tomorrow. Residents can register online or at a voter registration office. If you miss tomorrow's deadline, you can still register to vote using a provisional ballot. Provisional ballots will first need to approved by the local electoral board before it is counted. Registrar offices are closed today for Columbus day, but you can still register online or In-person at the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles and some public libraries.
A new FEMA Disaster Recovery Center has opened. The center in Pulaski County is the fourth to open its doors. The center at New River Valley Fairgrounds will be open from 8 a.m. to help victims impacted by Hurricane Helene. The deadline to apply for FEMA assistance is December 2nd.
