Virginia State Police say a man was last seen with a missing 14-year-old girl in Chesapeake is a convicted sexual predator. Police say 41-year-old James Bell, is a registered sex offender. Authorities issued a CODI alert for Deborah Jenkins yesterday saying she was last seen outside the Comfort Inn and Suites South Military Highway. Jenkins is described as having blonde hair, hazel eyes, 5-foot-2, and weighing 75 lbs.
Virginia Beach City Council will be voting on implementing a new voting system at their meeting. The council plans to vote on the 10-1 voting system which will divide the city into 10 districts of equal voting age. Each voter would vote for only one mayor and the representative for their ward district. Council will be voting on the new system at their meeting tonight.
