The Williamsburg James City County Public Schools says they are victims of a cyberattack. Superintendent Dr. Daniel Keever released a statement this week saying they noticed network disruptions over the weekend. Keever added that they are working with local and federal law enforcement to find the full scope of the incident. Keever says the attack has not impacted the safety of students or of their campuses.
The Red Cross of Virginia says they are still experiencing a blood shortage. The communications manager for the agency says recent snow and ice storms have lead to many canceled drives and donations. The Red Cross says if you had an appointment that was canceled, to try and reschedule that appointment. Platelet donations are also in low supply.
