Some employees at NASA Langley have been given guidance on possible terminations. Instructions on gathering important documents and information on separation from federal service was sent to probationary workers this week. Governor Youngkin addressed the notices in a news conference yesterday saying the firings are part of a greater good and a bigger plan.
Several Amtrack train routes have been canceled due to the winter storm hitting the region this week. Trains 67, 93, and 125 have been canceled south of Washington. Trains 186, 84, and 174 south of Washington have been cancelled for tomorrow. Evening trains into Newport News and late-night trains into Norfolk have also been canceled for today and tomorrow. Most of Virginia is expected to see significant snowfall beginning today.
