A fire at a Virginia Beach apartment complex has displaced 14 people. The fire happened around 4:30 p.m. yesterday afternoon at the Regency Apartments. Fire crews say when they arrived they saw heavy fire through the roof of the apartment complex. All residents were able to evacuate, but one was treated for smoke inhalation. There were no other injuries to residents, firefighters, or any pets in the building.
This year's flu season has taken more lives. More children have died due to flu complications this year. The Virginia Department of Health has reported four more children have died from the illness. Nearly 24-percent of ER visits in Virginia are for respiratory viruses like the flu, covid, or RSV. And kids ages four and under are the group most admitted to hospitals for complications. They say this is the worst flu season nationwide in the past seven years
