A law in Virginia that would seal certain criminal convictions from public view has been delayed until January 1, 2026, instead of the previously planned July 1 start date. The delay is to allow clerks more time to input eligible charges into a new database. WRIC reports that Not all charges are eligible for sealing, and strict criteria must be met.

A Trader Joe's may be coming to Town Center in Virginia Beach, as the grocery chain has applied for an ABC license for a location on Constitution Drive. The status of the license is pending, but it is part of a plan to bring a 14,000-square-foot grocery store and a 19,000-square-foot national sporting goods retailer to Columbus Village. WAVY reports that these new additions will fill the space left vacant by the closure of Bed Bath & Beyond in 2023.
