Four students have been injured in a school bus crash in Southampton County. The accident happened early this morning at around 6:45 a.m. Police say the school bus driver swerved to avoid hitting something in the road, and that caused the bus to lose control and crash into a light pole. Four students were taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries. No charges have been filed against the driver. No other cars were involved in the crash.
A popular Centreville attraction is going to look a bit different when it reopens in the spring. A historic dairy barn that was built more than 100 years ago at Cox Farms went up in flames early Sunday. The big, red barn lost its giant sunflower sculpture that adorned the front and its popular half-pipe water slide to the fire. A dozen chickens, a tractor and some artwork were also claimed by the flames.
