Cameras are being installed on Fairfax County school buses. The Board of Supervisors is making the move in hopes of capturing images of drivers who illegally pass school buses when their stop arms are extended. Fifty buses are being outfitted with cameras for the program's initial rollout. Starting April 9th, any folks caught failing to stop for buses loading and unloading kids will be issued a warning. Come May 12th, violators will be sent a 250-dollar citation in the mail.
Spirit Airlines has launched new nonstop flights from Richmond International. The airline is adding flights to New York-LaGuardia next month. Flights will be available four times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Spirit also flies to Fort Lauderdale and Orlando, Florida from Richmond.
