The City of Richmond says it will stop letting city employees use purchasing cards, or p-cards. The city says the stop is in effect while the program is being reset. The reset will take at least 60 to 90 days and will be relaunched. The city is only allowing p-card purchases if public health, safety, and critical services would be disrupted.
The Salvation Army in Lynchburg is reporting a drop in donations. The organization says this year they've seen a 25-percent decrease over the past quarter. The Salvation Army says some programs in the organization may be at risk due to the drop in help. They're asking for community support in the form of donations or volunteering to help bridge the gap.
