A senior at a Richmond high school has been shot and killed just weeks before he was set to graduate. Richmond Public Schools Superintendent Jason Kamras released a statement this morning saying John Marshall High student Sherrod Bosher was killed in a shooting over the weekend. Bosher was set to graduate on Wednesday, May 28th. The school says Crisis Team members are on campus today to help offer support to any students who need it.
Drivers who fail to stop for school bus stop-arms will be cited beginning today. Nearly 50 cameras on Fairfax County Public School buses have been activated to begin enforcement. The cameras will record video of the car and driver if it detects it within the enforcement zone. Fines for drivers caught in Fairfax County will receive a $250 dollar citation. Drivers in D.C. receive citations of $500 dollars.
