Some thieves have stolen a heavy piece of equipment out of a Virginia Beach business. The CEO of Studio Center says their 620-pound HVAC system was stolen last week. CEO Woody Prettyman tells WAVY the thieves knew what they were doing because they cleanly disconnected the ductwork and piping along with the power to remove it. The air conditioning unit is valued at around $12-thousand dollars.
Some trails and areas in Shenandoah National Park have closed due to heavy rain. The National Park Service says multiple trails have all been closed temporarily due to flooding and other hazardous conditions. They warn visitors to the park to expect potentially high water or trail damage in several areas. They're also warning to void trails with water crossings and activities in or near streams and boundary access areas.
