Classes were cancelled at two Lynchburg-area schools today. WSET-TV reports that a bomb threat was found by a student at Linkhorne Middle School. Students were evacuated and then classes were cancelled. Lynchburg Police say a 14-year-old was responsible for the threatening note and was taken into custody. Classes were also cancelled at E.C. Glass High School after what officials say was suspicious activity seen on a campus camera. Two students, a 17-year-old and 18-year-old were taken into custody and are facing charges of trespassing. No further details have been released. In both cases, the no injuries were reported and the all clear was given at the schools

VDOT is warning drivers in Hampton Roads of a traffic shift coming. The Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel work could begin this month. The traffic shift would affect the new eastbound trestle at the Hampton shoreline. It will affect drivers traveling from Hampton to Norfolk on Interstate 64. The work is part of the HRBT's nearly four-billion-dollar expansion project.
