Signs that used to warn Virginia Beach visitors not to curse may soon be up on the auction block. The Virginia Beach City Council decided last week to donate the unique signs to the city's police foundation. The signs were put up in the 1990s to help remind rowdy visitors to mind their language. They were removed in 2019, when business owners decided to project a more welcoming attitude. The police foundation will meet in July to come up with ideas about a possible auction or raffle.
