A new VCU poll shows Vice President Harris leading former President Trump by a full ten points. The poll shows voters favored Harris by 46-percent to Trump's 36-percent. It was conducted by the Douglas Wilder School of Government and Public Affairs from August 26th to September 6th. The results don't reflect any influence Tuesday night's presidential debate may have had.

Two men will spend nine years in prison for stealing and reselling guns from a Fairfax County store. 22-year-olds Victor Jones of DC and Cedric Minger of Maryland, are accused of stealing a car last year then breaking into a Springfield store, stealing 50 guns. Investigators say the men then sold the guns. Authorities report that one of the stolen guns ended up in the hands of an elementary school student.

A judge's ruling is dividing parents in Hanover County. A federal judge ruled that a transgender middle school student can play for the girl's tennis team while her family sues the school board for trying to ban her. Parents on both sides of the debate went before the school board Tuesday. One woman says it's egregiously unfair to allow the transgender student to take a spot away from girls who were born female. Another parent, though, says schools must follow Title 9. School Board Chair Bob May did not take a public stand. He tells CBS 6 the board won't comment as the lawsuit is still ongoing.
