Pharrell Williams, Virginia Beach native and one of the festival's organizers, posted about the cancelation Friday afternoon citing concerns about quality. Festival goers were also disappointed and voiced their anger on social media. An analysis of the 2023 Something in the Water festival found it had an economic impact of at least 26-million dollars on the region.
