Severe weather is still possible as Helene moves through the area. The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for parts of Southeast Virginia until 6 tonight. It includes Chesapeake, Franklin, Hampton, Newport News, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk, and Williamsburg. Virginia Beach, Greensville, Isle of Wight, James City, and Southhampton are also under the watch.

A Prince William County police officer has been charged with abducting and sexually assaulting a woman. Twenty-eight year-old James Clinton is accused of assaulting the same woman twice on separate occasions. He allegedly handcuffed the woman at Potomac Mills and then assaulted her. Police say the second incident happened in Dale City. Clinton has been with the Prince William County Police Department for six years and is on administrative leave.

A new feature could lead to better service when you dial 9-1-1 in Richmond. The city announced its 9-1-1 center now has an automatic callback feature. When you call 9-1-1 but abandon the call, you'll get an automated callback that'll give you the option of reporting an emergency or telling the dispatcher you mis-dialed. Emergency officials say the new feature can reduce the risk of missed calls and ensure every caller receives the help they need when they need it most.
