One person is dead after a weekend plane crash in Albermarle County. Virginia State Police investigators say the plane crashed in a wooded area just a few miles south of Charlottesville Albermarle Airport on Saturday afternoon. The plane was reportedly coming from Rockingham, North Carolina. The name of the person killed has not been released pending notification of the family.

The resolution introduced on Thursday will be considered by the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure. Previous attempts to rename the northern Virginia airport for Trump stalled when they failed to gain enough support. Chances for passage appear much better this session since Republicans control both the House and the Senate.
The U.S. Air Force resumes teaching its recruits about the Tuskegee Airmen and Women Airforce Service Pilots of World War Two after a misunderstanding regarding President Trump's new DEI order. Air Force officials pulled the courses after Trump signed an executive order halting all diversity, equity and inclusion programs last week. After a review, the Air Force has now announced that both the teachings do comply with Trump's order.
