The Pentagon is still investigating a drone incursion that happened at Langley Air Force Base late last year. A new report outlines the probe into the swarm of drones that breached the airspace around the Virginia base for more than two weeks in December. A Pentagon spokesman said the drones did not show hostile intent and could have been shot down if they did. Investigators are still trying to determine if the drones were flown by civilians or were operated by a foreign government.
Virginia Congressman Don Beyer wants to sponsor a bill that would allow speed cameras on the George Washington Parkway. The northern Virginia Democrat says he's received complaints about speeding along the parkway, especially between Mount Vernon and Old Town. The National Park Service has been unwilling to consider speed cameras because earlier proposals would not let the agency receive the revenue from any citations issued. Beyer says his bill would direct any revenue generated to the park service. He hopes to file the bill in January.
