A former election official is suing Virginia's attorney general, accusing him of prosecuting her without cause following the 2020 election. Lawyers for Michele White filed the federal lawsuit against Attorney General Jason Miyares and other staffers in his office yesterday. White was the registrar in Prince William County when corruption charges were filed against her in 2022. Those charges were dismissed earlier this year. The suit claims that Miyares violated White's constitutional rights by filing charges without probable cause. The attorney general's office released a statement yesterday saying it looked forward to defeating the case in court.
