Two people are in custody after a string of vandalism incidents at an elementary school in Pittslyvania County.Preview: A federal judge is set to hear arguments today on a challenge to Virginia's effort to remove non-citizens from state voter rolls. The hearing in U.S. District Court in Alexandria could result in an injunction to stop any further action by the state. The governor issued an executive order in August directing the Department of Elections to make a daily effort to remove non-citizen voters, a move that's been challenged as a violation of federal election rules. Those groups say about 16-hundred voters have been removed so far.
The Boeing machinists union is rejecting a new labor deal. The news comes after a 64-percent vote against the deal, which included a 35-percent wage increase over the next four years, higher 401k contributions, guaranteed payouts in a bonus program and a higher signing bonus. The aerospace giant reached a tentative deal with the striking workers this past weekend. Over 30-thousand machinists walked off the job over a month ago. Boeing reported a six-billion dollar loss during the last quarter, with an over eight-billion dollar loss from January through September.
