Governor Glenn Youngkin says Virginia will be deploying resources to Florida to help with the response to Hurricane Milton. The governor said yesterday that the Virginia Helicopter Aquatic Rescue team will send a team to Tallahassee ahead of the storm. The group includes four National Guard members, three Chesterfield firefighters and a rescue helicopter. The governor said other resources were also being arranged.

The Joint Legislative Audit and Review Commission recently released a report on the state's 15 four-year public colleges and universities. The commission found the University of Mary Washington, Virginia State University and Radford University to be the institutions with the most risk factors. Radford is experiencing declining enrollment, while Mary Washington and Virginia State risk losing students if they increase tuition to help upgrade and improve their facilities. The commission says each college is already taking some steps to try to reduce the risk of closure.

The glosses come in seven different colors and includes shades named for Howard University, Spellman, Florida A&M and Texas Southern. The brand will return 15-percent of each sale to the university represented by that product.
