Jenkins was convicted on all the charges against him, including conspiracy, fraud, and bribery. Prosecutors said Jenkins accepted more than 75-thousand dollars in bribes from people he appointed to auxiliary deputy positions. Three co-defendants also pleaded guilty to paying those bribes to Jenkins.
Four people are displaced after a fire in Chesterfield County. It started yesterday afternoon at a home on Peacefield Lane. Investigators believe it started in the garage, but there's no word on a cause. Chesterfield Fire and EMS says an adult, three children and a dog are displaced. The Red Cross is helping.
