A man is dead after being hit by a train in Fredericksburg over the weekend. Police say the man was walking near the tracks on Saturday afternoon when he was struck and killed by an Amtrak train. An update yesterday afternoon noted that police have identified the man and notified his family. No other information about the investigation has been released.

Investigators say 80-year-old Robert Williams was last seen driving his truck on Westmoreland Street in Falls Church on November 25th. Police located his truck in Alexandria yesterday but did not find Williams. Anyone with information is asked to call the Fairfax County Police Department.
President Biden granted a pardon to his son Hunter. Biden said in a statement Sunday that he believes no reasonable person who looked at the facts in his cases can reach a conclusion that Hunter wasn't "singled out only because he is my son". The news comes as President Biden has said previously he would not use his authority to pardon or commute Hunter's sentence for his conviction on federal gun charges. Hunter is also set to be sentenced later this month in a separate criminal case after pleading guilty in September on federal tax evasion charges, with the pardon covering both the gun charges conviction and guilty plea.
