The Orange County Sheriff's Office says it has shut down an illegal assisted-living facility that was being run on a local farm. The sheriff's office started investigating the unidentified facility in June and completed that probe last weekend. Investigators determined the facility did not have proper licensing and failed to meet the proper standards of care for patients living there. The operator was reportedly charged with running an unlicensed facility and abuse and neglect of vulnerable adults.
Virginia Poison Center seeing a rise in a use of a certain drug in mutliple areas.Preview: A teen who was reported missing in Hanover County has been found in Florida. Authorities began searching for 17-year-old Mitchell Leahey after he was last seen in Richmond last week. A CODI alert was issued by the state police to help locate the teen. Police announced yesterday that Leahey was found safe in Florida and would soon be reunited with his family.
