A new study released on financial literacy across the states, including Virginia. Analyst Alex Gailey says parents need to teach money matters to their kids.Preview: Gailey says having a strong understanding of what it means to earn money helps you increase your earnings over time. She says 66 percent of Americans who grew up with a strong financial education have successfully negotiated pay raises during their careers. That compares with 39 percent of Americans with little or no exposure to money lessons growing up.
