Dominion Energy is blaming cost overruns from an off-shore wind project for an upcoming increase in Virginia electric bills. The utility told stockholders on Monday that the price of the Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind project has increased by 900-million dollars. Dominion and investment partner Stonepeak will absorb some of the cost, but Dominion customers will be forced to pay the rest. The utility estimates the overruns will add about 43 cents a month to the average customer bill.

Public transit ridership is increasing as more federal workers return to the office. That's according to a social media post yesterday by the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority. Metro says ridership between 8 and 9 a.m. on Monday was the highest since 2020. Metro recorded over 92-thousand rides during that hour. The jump in ridership comes after President Trump ordered federal workers to return to the office full-time last month.  
 
 
The United States Postal Service is no longer accepting packages from China or Hong Kong. On Tuesday, USPS released a statement saying they are suspending international package acceptance from China and Hong Kong Posts until further notice. Letters and flat envelopes will still be accepted.
